A total seven members of the A&M-Texarkana women’s soccer team received All-Conference selections, as announced Wednesday by the Red River Athletic Conference.
A&M-Texarkana got a scare Saturday in the opening round of the RRAC Championships, but Alicia Loera came to the Eagles’ defense with an overtime goal to send the ladies into the conference semifinals with a 1-0 win over A&M-San Antonio at Morgan Field.
A&M-Texarkana put up a season-high 12 goals Saturday and celebrated Senior Day with a 12-0 win over Texas College at Morgan Field.
The A&M-Texarkana women’s soccer team limited LSU-Alexandria to just two shots in Saturday’s conference match at Morgan Field, but both would find the net, resulting in a 2-0 loss that dropped the Eagles from first to fourth in the conference table.
Xavier scored three times in the second half Saturday, erasing A&M-Texarkana’s 2-2 halftime lead and handing the Eagles their first loss of the season by a 4-3 count.
The defending conference champions started the new RRAC season much like where the left the previous one – in the win column.
