TEXARKANA, Texas – The Texas A&M University–Texarkana women's soccer team closed out their regular season — and celebrated Senior Day — in style with a dominant 4–0 shutout victory over Jarvis Christian University Saturday afternoon at Judy Kelley Morgan Field.
The Eagles wasted no time finding their rhythm, with senior midfielder Brooklyn Lattier putting TAMUT on the board just four minutes into play with an unassisted strike from distance. The momentum continued when Desiree Narvaez added a second goal in the 18th minute off an assist from Lattier, extending the Eagles' lead to 2–0.
Melissa Nicolas joined in on the action with an unassisted goal in the 38th minute, and Victoria Jaimes capped off the scoring frenzy with another unassisted strike just before halftime to make it 4–0.
The Eagles dominated the offensive end, outshooting the Bulldogs 54–5 and controlling the tempo throughout. Goalkeepers Makenzie Dellinger and Layla Anaya combined for the shutout, recording four total saves.
With the win, TAMUT improves to 12–4–2 (7–3–1 RRAC) and secures the No. 5 seed in the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament. The Eagles will now head to Alexandria, Louisiana, for a quarterfinal matchup against LSU Alexandria. Kickoff is set for next week.
