Eagles Earn Runner-Up Finish at Ouachita Baptist Tiger Invitational
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Texas A&M University–Texarkana women's cross country team turned in a strong performance at the Tiger Invitational hosted by NCAA Division II Ouachita Baptist on October 10. The Eagles competed against five teams and 54 total runners on the fast 5K course.
Zalenka Brannan led the way for the Eagles, finishing 12th overall with a time of 19:05.87. She was followed by Kayla Reeves in 19th place at 19:50.23, while Dana Ruiz (26th, 20:13.21), Priscila Quintanilla Sarmiento (35th, 21:21.63), and Landy Canto (51st, 25:21.57) completed the scoring for the team.
As a group, the Eagles earned a second-place team finish, posting an average time of 21:10.50 — trailing only the host school, Ouachita Baptist.
