Eagle women take team title in first race of 2023 season

LONGVIEW — The new look A&M-Texarkana Women's Cross Country team made a great first impression Saturday, claiming the women's team title at the Nicole Leman Invitational, hosted by LeTourneau University.
The Eagles had four Top 10 finishes, including two in the Top 3 and all five runners finished among the Top 15. TAMUT finished four points better than second-place Jacksonville College.
Freshmen Ana Ximena Loya and Zalenka Brannan – in their first collegiate race – reached the medal stand, finishing second and third, respectively.
