Dobreva Receives NAIA Third Team All-American Recognition
TEXARKANA, Texas – Texas A&M University–Texarkana volleyball standout Paulina Dobreva has been named a Third Team All-American by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), recognizing her exceptional performance and impact during the 2025 season.
A senior outside hitter from Madrid, Spain, Dobreva emerged as one of the nation's premier players after a stellar campaign for the Eagles. She led the team in kills, service aces, receptions, and points, finishing the season with 406 kills (3.59 per set), 56 service aces, 689 receptions, and 486.5 points (4.30 per set), while consistently anchoring Texas A&M–Texarkana on both ends of the court. Her production ranked among the best in the Red River Athletic Conference and placed her in elite company nationally.
Beyond the stat sheet, Dobreva proved to be a difference-maker throughout the season, playing a pivotal role in the Eagles' success during conference play and the postseason. Her leadership, competitiveness, and consistency helped propel TAMUT to a 25–7 overall record, an RRAC Regular Season Championship, an RRAC Tournament Championship, and the program's first-ever berth in the NAIA National Championship, marking a historic milestone for TAMUT Volleyball.
In addition to her All-American honor, Dobreva collected an impressive list of accolades, including five RRAC Player of the Week awards, Athletic Solutions RRAC Player of the Year, RRAC Attacker of the Year, First Team All-Conference, First Team SouthCentral All-Region, SouthCentral Region Player of the Year, and NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition, further cementing her status as one of the conference's premier student-athletes.
The Third Team All-American selection represents a significant achievement for the Texas A&M–Texarkana volleyball program and underscores the continued growth and national recognition of Eagle Athletics.
With this honor, Paulina Dobreva becomes the first All-American in TAMUT volleyball program history.
