Volleyball Heads to California for National Tournament Debut
TEXARKANA, Texas- The Texas A&M University–Texarkana women's volleyball team is headed to Santa Clarita, California, to take on the No. 14 Lady Mustangs of The Master's University in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round. First serve is set for Saturday, November 22, at 8 p.m. CST (6 p.m. PST).
The Lady Mustangs enter the match with a 23–3 overall record and closed the season ranked No. 11 in the final NAIA Top 25 poll. They claimed both the GSAC regular-season title and the conference tournament championship.
The Eagles wrapped up the regular season at 25–6 and 9–1 in conference play. TAMUT captured the Red River Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship and swept both Louisiana Christian University and Our Lady of the Lake University to win the RRAC Tournament Title. With the victory, the Eagles secured their first-ever berth to the NAIA National Tournament.
