Eagles Volleyball earned another split in Day two of the Faulkner Invitational tournament in Montgomery, Alabama. The Eagles dropped the morning match to Keiser University 3-0 before bouncing back to defeat Reinhardt 3-1 in the final game of the tournament. The Eagles finish the opening weekend of play with a 2-2 record.
"We definitely struggled today," said head coach Madeleine Halford. "Things were not going our way and we had a hard time dealing with the adversary. But we continued to put our heads down and fight through it, even though it wasn't pretty. We stayed in match 1 and came out in match 2.
Kaitlyn Cabral and Paulina Dobreva led the team with 7 kills each in the opening loss. Paulina Dobreva led the team with 21 kills in the afternoon win over Reinhardt.
The eagles return to the court August 30th and 31st in tournament play at the Texas Two Step Tournament in Waxahachie, Texas.
