Track and Field Sends Three to NAIA Outdoor Nationals
TEXARKANA, Texas – The Texas A&M University-Texarkana Track and Field program will send three student-athletes to the 2026 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships, set to take place at Karl Straus Track on the campus of the University of North Carolina Asheville in Asheville, North Carolina.
Representing the women's team, Vinae Edwards qualified for the Women's Triple Jump with an NAIA "A" Standard mark of 12.19m. Edwards is scheduled to compete on May 21 at 3:30 p.m.
On the men's side, Desroy Jordan earned a spot in the Men's 400m after recording an NAIA "A" Standard time of 46.50. Jordan will compete in the preliminary round on May 21 at 3:20 p.m., looking to advance to the finals on May 22 at 2:45 p.m.
Jayden Erikewe also qualified for the national meet in the Men's 400m Hurdles with an NAIA "B" Standard time of 53.27. Erikewe is set to race in the preliminaries on May 20 at 3:55 p.m. with the finals scheduled for May 22 at 3:20 p.m.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced final rosters and entry lists for the 2026 Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
May 20-22, the qualifiers will meet in Asheville, N.C., at the Karl Straus Track for their final competition of the season.
British Columbia was the men's team national champion in 2025 and was followed by Madonna (Mich.).
