Bio
Breann Jackson enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Texas A&M University–Texarkana cross country and track & field programs in 2025–26.
Jackson arrives in Texarkana after spending five seasons on the coaching staff at Sonoma State University, where she helped guide the Seawolves to several program-best performances. Most notably, she played a key role in SSU’s historic 2021 campaign, which included the team’s best finish at the CCAA Championships since 2004. In 2023, she helped lead the Seawolves to their strongest showing at the conference championships, highlighted by three podium finishes.
A native of Wheatland, Wyoming, Jackson was a standout three-sport athlete in high school, capturing multiple state titles in volleyball, basketball, and track & field. She was the 2012 Wyoming State Champion in the discus and a two-time state runner-up in the shot put.
Jackson continued her athletic career at Northern State University (Aberdeen, S.D.), where she was a three-time NCAA Division II national qualifier in the weight and hammer throws. She earned All-American honors twice in the weight throw (2015, 2016), placed fifth nationally in 2016, and also claimed multiple NSIC All-Conference and All-Academic honors during her career.
She graduated from NSU in 2017 with a bachelor of science in biology and a minor in psychology. Following graduation, Jackson began her coaching career at the high school level in California, where she coached volleyball, basketball, and track & field. From 2017–2019, she helped athletes at Mira Loma and Del Oro High Schools advance to league, sectional, and Masters championships in the shot put and discus.
