Women’s Tennis Earns First All-America Honors in Program History
TEXARKANA, Texas – The Texas A&M University-Texarkana women's tennis program made history as Ana Gonzalez and Lucia Siddens were both named NAIA Third Team All-Americans, marking the first All-America selections in program history.
The historic honors come after standout seasons from the duo, who helped lead the Eagles to a 21-7 overall record. Along the way, TAMUT earned multiple top-25 rankings in the NAIA National Poll and climbed as high as No. 13 in the ITA NAIA National Rankings. Gonzalez and Siddens also collected Red River Athletic Conference postseason honors, earning First Team and Second Team All-RRAC recognition, respectively.
Ana Gonzalez, a sophomore from Tampico, Mexico, posted a 21-6 singles record and a 21-5-1 doubles mark during the 2025-26 season. Competing primarily at the No. 1 position for the Eagles, Gonzalez earned First Team All-RRAC honors while consistently leading TAMUT against the nation's top competition.
Lucia Siddens also turned in an impressive campaign, finishing with a 20-6 singles record and a 20-6-1 doubles mark. The freshman from West Palm Beach, Florida played a key role in the Eagles' success throughout the season and earned Second Team All-RRAC honors in addition to her NAIA Third Team All-America selection.
Together, Gonzalez and Siddens helped elevate the program to new heights, becoming the first student-athletes in school history to earn NAIA All-America honors in women's tennis.
The NAIA All-America teams are selected based on season performance, accomplishments, and overall impact throughout the year among student-athletes across the nation.
