Eagles Battle Xavier in RRAC Women’s Tennis Quarterfinals
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Texas A&M University-Texarkana women's tennis team wrapped up their season at the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Women's Tennis Championships this past week in San Antonio. Entering the tournament as the No. 7 seed, the Eagles faced a formidable opponent in the quarterfinals—No. 12 nationally ranked Xavier University of Louisiana.
Despite a strong effort, TAMUT fell to the Gold Nuggets 4-2 in a competitive matchup that ended their RRAC postseason run.
Xavier, a perennial powerhouse in NAIA tennis, proved to be a tough draw for the Eagles in the opening round. However, TAMUT held their own, securing two victories in the match and showcasing resilience against one of the top programs in the nation.
