Daily – the 2022 RRAC Offensive Player of the Year – put five shots in the net during Thursday's 7-2 win over Huston-Tillotson, then scored what would turn out to be the game-winner during Saturday's 3-1 win over Houston Victoria for the first-place Eagles (9-0-0 overall, 4-0-0 RRAC).
Daily leads the conference with nine goals and has scored at least once in five of the six matches she's played, despite dealing with a nagging injury. She also has one assist this season for a total of 19 points. Last season, Daily scored 17 goals to go with five assists in 18 matches for 39 points. Her 26 career goals at TAMUT ranks third all-time in program history and she sits just six goals away from the second spot. She is fourth all-time with 58 career points.
Daily's award marks the third straight week a member of the TAMUT women's soccer program has won a conference POTW award. Freshman Desiree Narvaez took the offensive award for the week of Sept. 4-10, and goalkeeper Ivana Robinson won the defensive honor last week.
The Eagles have outscored their opponents by a 30-5 margin in seven played matches. The ladies have two wins by way of forfeit. They are on the road this week to face North American (Thursday) and Xavier (Saturday).
