Daily nets six in unbeaten Eagles' two conference wins

After a slow start to the season due to injury, last year's RRAC Offensive Player of the Year, used this week to let people know she was still around. Alyssa Daily scored five goals in Thursday's 7-2 win over Huston-Tillotson, then added the game-winner in Saturday's 3-1 win over Houston-Victoria, helping the Eagles improve to 9-0-0 overall and 4-0-0 in conference play. Daily now has nine goals in six matches and the Eagles continue to score at a high clip, with 28 goals in seven matches (TAMUT has two wins by forfeit).

Eagles 7, Huston-Tillotson 2

Daily scored four times in the first half and the Eagles had a 5-0 lead before the Rams found the back of the net. Daily's goals were assisted by Paige Haderlie, Desiree Narvaez (twice), and Johanna Rodriguez. Daily also had an unassisted goal while Narvaez finished with three assists. Rodriguez scored a goal and Sascha Marcellin added one for the Eagles off a Delani Chappell assist in the 72nd minute.

Eagles 3, Houston-Victoria 1

Narvaez started the scoring in just the third minute with an assist by Brooklyn Lattier, who would also assist on the second goal, netted by Daily in the 12^th minute. Martha Gudino added a third goal, assisted by Rodriguez, and UHV wouldn't score until the second half.

The Eagles are on the road next week, taking on North American at 5 pm Thursday, then facing Xavier on Saturday in New Orleans at 5 pm.
