Robinson gives Eagles a second straight conference POTW award

Opponents have quickly come to realize that scoring against the Texas A&M-Texarkana women's soccer team is no easy task. Largely responsible for that is junior goalkeeper Ivana Robinson. After a week that saw Robinson record three victories and two clean sheets, the Ragley, La. native was named the Red River Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 11-17.

Robinson started all three matches played by the 7-0 Eagles last week, finishing two while combining for a shutout on the other. During the week, she made seven saves while the team kept all three opponents off the scoreboard. The Eagles have allowed just two goals this season.

The Eagles have had a player win RRAC honors for two consecutive weeks, as freshman Desiree Narvaez claimed the Offensive POTW award last week. To read the full release from the conference, CLICK HERE.
