Dorsett qualifies for nationals, Hernandez just misses at SFA

NACOGDOCHES — A&M-Texarkana competed Friday and Saturday at the Carl Knight Invitational hosted by Stephen F. Austin University as part of its outdoor Track and Field season.

David Hernandez won gold in the Men's 10,000 Meters, but just missed the national qualifying mark of 31:20, clocking a time of 31:45. Charles Dorsett III finished fourth in the Men's 1500 Meters with a time of 3:56.38, then qualified for nationals in the Men's 400 Meters, which he won with a time of 47.71, a half-second faster than the rest of the field.
