TEXARKANA, Texas — The Texas A&M University–Texarkana men's tennis team capped off its home schedule in dominant fashion on April 9, earning a 4-0 sweep over Texas Wesleyan.
The Eagles set the tone early by securing the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. The duo of Matias Peñaranda and Jose Rodrigues rolled to a 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles, while Lawson Swain and Fedir Zalievskyi followed with a strong 6-2 win at the No. 2 spot to clinch the point.
In singles play, TAMUT continued its momentum, picking up three straight-set victories to secure the match. Fedir Zalievskyi delivered a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles, while Matias Peñaranda controlled his match at No. 3 with a 6-4, 6-4 result. Marc Gonzalez Molina sealed the team victory with a dominant 6-2, 6-1 performance at the No. 4 position.
