Men’s Tennis Competes Against Top Talent in New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Texas A&M University–Texarkana men's tennis team traveled to New Orleans this past weekend to compete in the 2025 ITA NAIA Men's Gulf Regional Championships, hosted by Xavier University of Louisiana from September 26–28.
The Eagles battled through both singles and doubles draws in a single-elimination format with consolation play. The men's regional proved just as competitive as the women's, featuring several nationally ranked programs, including #6 Our Lady of the Lake, #14 Xavier (La.), #15 William Carey, #25 Dillard University, #27 Texas A&M–Texarkana, and #44 Loyola (La.).
Despite a number of close matches and third-set super tiebreaks, the Eagles were unable to advance deep into the main draw but gained valuable experience against elite competition.
