HOW THEY GOT HERE
The Eagles put up their highest single-game scoring total in two years Sunday during an 8-0 win at Wiley College. Jaret Rojas notched a hat trick and added an assist, leading the team to its first road win of the season. TAMUT led just 1-0 at halftime but erupted for seven goals in the last 30 minutes of the match.
Bethel has started strong, outscoring its four opponents by a margin of 17-2, including shutouts in its last two outings. The Wildcats blanked Louisiana Christian on Saturday (5-0) and followed that with a 2-0 win at LSU-Alexandria. All four wins have come on the road. Bethel's only home to this point – schedule for Aug. 25 – was cancelled.
SCOUTING REPORT
Bethel is led by Gregory Cousins, with four goals in four contests. Stanley Isaac has three goals and three assists this season, and Hubert Kompany has also found the net three times. Alvarez Cooper has a pair of goals. Norberto Lima Vieria is 3-0 in goal for the Wildcats, giving up just one goal to go with 14 saves.
Rojas is the Eagles' leading scorer with three goals and two assists, and Dillon Williams has a pair of goals. Christian Gomez and Damilare Origunloye each have two assists. Senior goalkeeper Jacob Mendez is 1-1 this season while freshman Seth Brown is 1-0 with eight saves and one goal against.
HISTORY
The Eagles are winless (0-5) against Bethel and have been outscored 22-3 in the all-time series. That total includes a 6-0 loss to the Wildcats in last year's season opener. In that contest, Bethel scored all six goals in the second half. Isaac scored twice to lead the Wildcats.
