STAFFORD, Texas — A&M-Texarkana went cold in the second half of Thursday's game against North American, letting an eight-point halftime lead slip away in a 59-57 loss at Municipal Gymnasium. The Eagles shot just 26.9 percent in the second half.
Jeff Norment had 13 points and Justin Davis had 13 points to go with eight rebounds and seven assists. The Eagles (7-18 overall, 5-14 RRAC) led by as many 15 in the first half and 12 early in the second. TAMUT suffered its fourth consecutive loss.
Jalon Clark led the Stallions with 17 points and 13 rebounds while Sean Fry chipped in 11 points as the Stallions improved to 10-15 overall and 9-10 in conference play.
With three games remaining, the Eagles head to New Orleans on Saturday for a 4 pm matchup with Xavier (17-5, 13-4).
