Eagles aim to be in the conference hunt again according to RRAC poll

WACO, Texas — Coaches from the Red River Athletic Conference expect A&M-Texarkana to be in the thick of the conference race according to the RRAC Men's Basketball Preseason Poll, released Wednesday. The Eagles come in at No. 3, but just 12 points from the second spot and 22 from the top. TAMUT also received a first-place vote.
Last season the Eagles won a program-record 22 games, finished 22-9 overall and 14-6 in conference play, then received an at-large selection into the NAIA Tournament. The Eagles also completed a perfect (13-0) schedule at home.
The Eagles lost their top three scorers to graduation but will return Colby Rasberry, Christopher Coley II, Raschard Greene, Jared Peel and Idris Sow.
The Eagles begin the season Nov. 4 at Dallas Christian and their first home game is Nov. 11 against Ottawa (Ks.).
