STERLINGTON, La. – The Texas A&M University–Texarkana baseball team battled through a four-game slate at the Cajun Collision this weekend, earning a ranked win and gaining valuable early-season experience against a competitive tournament field at the Sterlington Sports Complex.
Game 1: A&M-Texarkana 10, #25 Central Methodist 3
The Eagles opened tournament play in impressive fashion, knocking off No. 25 Central Methodist, 10–3.

Central Baptist answered across the middle innings to take the lead, but TAMUT mounted a late push in the seventh.
Jason Armendariz scored during the rally, and CJ Richard added an RBI groundout to pull the Eagles within one. The comeback effort ultimately fell short as Central Baptist held on late.
