TAMUT Baseball Releases 2026 Schedule
TEXARKANA, Texas – The Texas A&M University–Texarkana baseball program has announced its official schedule for the upcoming 2026 season, featuring a competitive slate highlighted by multiple games against nationally ranked opponents, including two preseason Top 25 matchups at this year's Cajun Collision.
Under the direction of head coach Chase Brewster, TAMUT returns to the diamond following a historic 2025 campaign in which the Eagles posted the most wins in program history.
The Eagles will open the season on January 23 by hosting Central Christian and John Melvin in the TAMUT Invitational. Following back-to-back home tournaments, TAMUT will welcome the No. 4-ranked Hope International Royals for a two-game series on February 3–4. The Eagles then travel to the Cajun Collision to face elite programs from across the nation before closing out the bulk of their non-conference schedule in Lewiston, Idaho, against No. 21 Lewis-Clark State at Harris Field, home of the NAIA World Series.
Red River Athletic Conference play begins on February 20, with the Eagles opening league action at home against LSU Alexandria. Fans can also look forward to marquee conference matchups against No. 20 Texas A&M–Victoria on March 6–7.
The 2026 slate includes 27 home games, 19 road contests, and four neutral-site games. TAMUT will host two triangular tournaments to open the season, with game times set for 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3 p.m.
"We wanted to do everything we could to keep the momentum going from last spring when we started working on this year's schedule," said Brewster. "We wanted to play as many talented teams as possible. Our conference is going to be extremely tough again, so it was important for our non-conference schedule to prepare us for those big RRAC matchups.
"I'm excited for our players most of all. Getting the chance to play six preseason Top 25 teams will be an incredible experience. Hosting a top-five team at home will be special for our community, and trips to Idaho and back to the Cajun Collision will be great opportunities for our program. Hopefully, it all prepares us to play our best baseball in May."
Senior Day for the Eagles is scheduled for April 18 between the final two games of the Xavier series. Postseason play will begin with the RRAC Championship on April 24, followed by the NAIA National Championship Opening Round on May 11.
