TEXARKANA, Texas- The Eagles dominated the series with consistent offense, strong pitching, and clutch performances. Their bats produced timely hits, including home runs that fueled comebacks and extended leads. Solid starting pitching kept games competitive, while the bullpen shut down opponents late, highlighted by a complete-game gem. With resilience and execution in key moments, the Eagles controlled the series and secured a decisive sweep.
Game 1: Eagles 8, XULA 7
The Eagles faced a tough start in their game against the Xavier Gold Rush, struggling in the first two innings as their pitching staff allowed seven runs. Starting pitcher Gage Mason had a difficult outing, surrendering six earned runs over four innings. However, relief pitcher Anthony Galindo provided much-needed stability, delivering three scoreless innings and ultimately securing the win, improving his record to 3-0 for the season.
