Seth Morris has joined the staff of Texas A&M University-Texarkana athletics as the university’s first full-time Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, bringing with him more than 15 years of collegiate experience and a proven record of developing high-performing athletes and championship-caliber strength programs.

Morris is widely recognized for his results-driven and innovative approach to sport performance. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the development of over 110 NCAA All-Americans, 60+ professional draft picks, and numerous team and individual national champions, underscoring his ability to elevate performance at the highest levels.

A key example of his impact is his work with Carson Vinson, who was selected in the 5th round (141st overall) of the Baltimore Ravens in the 2025 NFL Draft. Vinson earned multiple national honors, including AFCA FCS All-America recognition and an invitation to the Reese's Senior Bowl, becoming the first HBCU player invited in 2025.

Morris combines elite-level coaching with a strong foundation in sports science, utilizing velocity-based training, GPS tracking, force output analysis, and auto-regulation to maximize performance while prioritizing athlete durability and availability. His leadership experience includes serving as Director of Sports Performance at Alabama A&M University and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Edward Waters University, along with prior roles at University of Southern Mississippi and Stillman College.

His experience also extends to the professional level, including work with the Arizona Rattlers and internships with NFL organizations such as the Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Dallas Cowboys.

Morris holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Ohio State University and a master’s degree in Kinesiology from Penn State University, where he also began his coaching career.

A forward-thinking leader, Morris takes a holistic approach to student-athlete development—integrating performance training with recovery, nutrition, and lifestyle habits. He remains well-versed in the evolving college athletics landscape and uses data-driven key performance indicators to enhance speed, strength, power, and long-term athlete durability.

He holds multiple industry certifications, including FMS, PES, CES, and USAW, reinforcing his commitment to evidence-based training and continuous improvement.
