Bio
Ryan Wall enters his second year as the Director of Athletics at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. Prior to his current role, Wall served as the Head Coach for the TAMUT Men’s Basketball program, where he quickly established a winning culture and national recognition.

In his first season as Head Coach of the Eagles, Wall guided TAMUT to the Red River Athletic Conference championship game. The team finished ranked No. 6 nationally in total 3-pointers made (333), led by Honorable Mention All-American Desmond Kennedy, who was the No. 2 ranked 3-point shooter in the nation. Two players received All-Conference honors and one earned the prestigious Champions of Character Award. In 2022–23, Wall led the Eagles to a program-record 22 wins and an appearance in the NAIA National Tournament. That team also produced two professional players: Kobe Powell, who earned NAIA All-American honors, and Tralynn Spencer.

Before coming to Texas A&M–Texarkana, Wall spent five years as Head Coach at Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) in San Antonio, Texas, another Red River Athletic Conference institution. His career record as a head coach stands at 131–51, highlighted by a Sweet 16 finish and two trips to the NAIA National Tournament Elite Eight. During his tenure, he recruited and coached five NAIA All-Americans, including Xavier Roberson, the NAIA National Player of the Year, national leading scorer, and All-Star Game participant, as well as Marcus Thompson, the NAIA national leader in steals and assists and National Defensive Player of the Year. Wall also coached 10 All-Conference players at OLLU.

Prior to his head coaching career, Wall gained valuable experience as an assistant coach at Our Lady of the Lake and Ranger College (NTJCAC) and as a graduate assistant at the University of Southern Alabama. As a player, Wall enjoyed a standout high school career in Coppell, Texas, before competing collegiately at the University of New Mexico and later at Texas Christian University (TCU). While at TCU, he led the Horned Frogs in steals and free throw percentage as their starting point guard.

Since becoming Director of Athletics, Wall has overseen historic growth in TAMUT Athletics. In 2024–25 alone, the department added men’s and women’s bowling, men’s and women’s golf, and expanded track and field/cross country, bringing in more than 100 new student-athletes. Plans for continued expansion are underway, with football officially launching in Fall 2027 as part of TAMUT’s transition to NCAA Division II and entry into the Lone Star Conference.

Wall earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications and master’s degree in Education Administration from TCU. He and his wife, Krysti, are the proud parents of four children: daughters Kendall and Rylee, and sons Porter and Paxton.
